According to the researchers, the ability to focus on details, a common feature among autistic people, has enabled realism to develop in Ice Age art.

About 30,000 years ago, realist art suddenly emerged in Europe. The highly accurate descriptions of the bears, bison, horses and lions decorate the walls of the Ice Age archeological sites, such as the Chauvet Cave in southern France.

Researchers have been thinking for a long time why our ice-patrol auctions have created a much more realistic art than the simpler or stylized art of earlier modern people.
